Course Info
Do you want to convert your passion into your profession? Or do you wish to expand your current skill set to make the most of your current career and step up your game of content creation and visual storytelling?
Our new SPC Academy Photography Programs offers cover all relevant areas of modern photography practice in a comprehensive hands-on educational system while providing you with business knowledge from successful professionals in the industry. A perfect package to prepare you for a fruitful career in photography.
With each module taught by a dedicated expert, the students will have exposure to a variety of styles and experiences to develop their photography careers on.
Choose the program that fits your schedule and learning needs: Workshops 4 or 8 weeks during the day or 12 weeks during evenings. Or the one year program for a full education.
Every workshop concludes with each student completing a personal project that reflects the genre of photography in which they have the greatest interest. Upon completion, students are equipped with a portfolio of extraordinary images, technical know-how, refined artistic awareness, and a real world understanding of the photography industry.
A certificate (recognized officially in Switzerland) will be provided to those who complete the programs successfully.
Additional benefit: Join the practice workshops for free during your training and in the month following the end of your classes.
Programs:
4-Week Photography Workshop covers all the essential disciplines such as Photo I, Imaging I, Vision & Style I, Business of Photography, Ways of Seeing I and the shooting lab for practice. One or two classes every weekday, each class 3 hours. Total of more than 100 hours.
12 Week Evening Photography Workshop covers the same content as the 4 week but over evenings, for those who are busy during the day. Courses take place 2 or 3 evenings per week (3 hours after work) plus 4 x practice sessions over the 4 weekends. Total of more than 100 hours.
The 8-Week Photography Workshop covers two times more hours for each discipline vs the 4 weeks, to allow for much more practice and development in each. In addition, this workshop also covers learning the studio lights for portrait, fashion, product photography etc. Total more than 200 hours.
The One-Year Photography Program covers all disciplines up to level II, plus the production and the exhibition of a personal project for each student at the end of the year. Total more than 600 hours. Full details here.

Monthly Installments:
We offer possibility of payment up to 12* installments. You can combine installments with your yearly training allowance.
* free of charge up to 3 installments, CHF 10.- per month for each additional installments. The installment is only offered for people resident in Switzerland.
Yearly Training Allowance (CAF | Chèque Annuel de formation)

Course Outline
Photo I: Understanding basics of exposure, camera settings, flash, using and manipulating available light, etc. All technical aspects.
Imaging I: Using Lightroom, basics of Photoshop, printing & color matching.
Vision & Style I: Students develop their own unique style and self expression.
Ways of seeing I: Study past master photographers, re-create adding own point of view.
Shooting Lab: Students go on field trips to practice real-time photography skills on location with instructor feedback.
Business of Photography: How to run a successful photography business: marketing, sales, creating website, local contacts, legal
