Join us on a photography tour to Zermatt, where the breathtaking natural scenery is so iconic, it inspired the shape of Toblerone chocolate. Master the skills you need to take amazing landscape photos in all light conditions as you enjoy your time in nature, exploring one of Switzerland’s crown jewels.

The Matterhorn is one of the world's most famous mountain peaks and for sure one of the iconic shots when it comes to landscape photography. Standing almost 4’500m tall at the border of Swiss canton Wallis and the Italian Aosta valley, it shows a significant and distinct shape that is best seen (and photographed) from the east. To get the best views and compositions of this Swiss classic, we will set camp at the Fluhalp and visit all the famous mountain lakes that reflect the Matterhorn like a mirror. The Stellisee will be on our list as well as the Grindjisee and 3 others. We will explore the high alpine region of Zermatt, visit the rural mountain village of Findeln and enjoy incredible panoramic views from sunrise to sunset.

Photography Tour of Zermatt: Your photos are our priority

We will be accommodated at the Fluhalp on 2620m – beautiful panorama and Matterhorn view included. We will have shared and private rooms available. The accommodation covers breakfast and dinner. However, the Fluhalp is not a hotel but a true mountain hut. Showers are available but you will have to bring your own towels. If you wish to stay in a private room or a double bedroom with your partner or friend, please let us know.Even though 2 meals are included, hiking in the mountains and being outdoors all day will make you hungry. Please bring your own snacks and supplies for the day and don‘t forget a water bottle.

He is specialised in Portraits, Events, Wedding and landscape photography. He is also a certified Adobe Photoshop instructor.
 Osan continuously strives to create a personal connection with his subjects, to add that personal spark to each photo. His teaching style is crisp, to the point, and focused on getting the participant practice what she/he learned.

You will be accommodated in the cozy, modern chalets of Swiss Escape, which are fully equipped with kitchens, bathrooms and an open lounge area. Breakfast and snacks are included. Cappadocia Photography Tour

Whimsical Cappadocia in Turkey is one of the world's most magical and photogenic regions, with an abundance of stunning photo locations. Staying in a premium boutique cave hotel, we will take unique photos featuring the fairy chimneys and the hot air balloons, take a balloon ride (optional) for aerial photos, discover the incredible scenery from the best viewpoints, and enjoy the local food and culture.

As if plucked from a fairytale and set down upon the stark Anatolian plains, Cappadocia is a geological oddity of honeycombed hills and towering boulders of otherworldly beauty. Due to its rocky formation, Cappadocia has been a hiding place for millennia, and most notably for the Christians in the fourth century who were petrified to face the wrath of Rome. These people weren’t just “hiding,” they were creating. We will see literal cave chapels replete with stunning frescoes. You will see that even in a time of great duress, these people managed to establish a place of incredible beauty – a sanctuary within the rocks. Everywhere you look, soft volcanic rock has been formed into what are colloquially known as “fairy chimneys,” as well as other structures. The ground is cut, carved, and battle worn, which means there is no shortage of caves, underground tunnels and bizarre formations. There is, quite literally, a whole world that you can’t see with the naked eye when you’re visiting Cappadocia. Because of the region’s unique landscape, one of the most popular things to do here is to ride a hot air balloon. Early in the morning, just before sunrise, hundreds of colorful balloons dot the sky. Spectacular from the ground or from the air, it’s an unforgettable experience and a must-do in Cappadocia.

The Val d’Orcia is one of Tuscany’s six World Heritage sites. The valley’s landscape of gentle, rolling hills was the subject of many Renaissance paintings, especially by the painters of the Scuola Senese, or The Siena School, mentioned in the Val d’ Orcia’s UNESCO nomination. This region has everything that visitors to Tuscany come to see and experience, from the powerhouse DOCG wines of Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile to spa towns like Bagno Vignoni, whose “baths” in the public square are fed by springs of Monte Amiata, which marks the southern boundary of the territory. There are abbeys and gardens–and that zig-zagged strada bianca lined with cypresses that has come to be a symbol of this territory. It's no wonder the region achieved UNESCO nomination: “The Val d’Orcia is an exceptional reflection of the way the landscape was re-written in Renaissance times to reflect the ideals of good governance and to create aesthetically pleasing pictures.” During this photography tour of Tuscany, we will stop to photograph the magnificent medieval village of San Gimignano, called “Manhattan of the Middle Ages,” with its towers and exceptional views.&nbsp;Next, we’ll go to Monteriggioni, a medieval walled city, where we will stay in a typical farmhouse. Finally, at the end of the tour on Sunday, we will focus our lenses on the majesty of Florence, discovering secrets, stories and contrasts until evening.

His father taught him how to use an old manual camera at a young age, and since then Riccardo has never stopped applying his creativity to his pictures. Iceland Photography Tour: Your Photos are Our Priority

We will be accommodated at four select locations: The Barn Hostel – Vik:&nbsp;The Barn is located near the village of Vík between the Mýrdalsjölill Glacier and the southern coast of Iceland. The double rooms come with a shared bathroom, some present a view over the nearby mountains. Since then, he has never stopped travelling the world in search of a life of simplicity, human encounters, and emotions. Fascinated by being at the heart of the elements, he favors extreme ecosystems–deserts, equatorial and arctic forests, among others–where he finds that feeling of vulnerability that humanity too often lacks. Between trips, he shares his vision of the world through exhibitions and conferences, both private and at schools, as well as at festivals and fairs.

Immerse yourself into incredibly diverse and luxurious wildlife in the Oder Delta and set yourself to take amazing shots of the white tailed eagle fishing as well as other famous European endemic wildlife (Foxes, Roe Deers, Red Deers, Badgers, Wild Horses, migratory birds). The expedition will let you experience “a week in the life” of a wildlife photographer – in the form of a living workshop – to discover how wildlife shots are made: from planning to publishing (incl. post production). The tour is guided by Gianmarco Cicuzza who is an active nature and wildlife operating mainly across Europe and Africa. He speaks English and Italian fluently. The official language for this trip is English.

The Oder Delta, spreading between the border of Poland and Germany, is a unique region with a rich mosaic of terrestrial,&nbsp;marine and freshwater ecosystems. Its strategic location&nbsp;on one of the ecological crossroads in Europe makes it one of the most exciting wild areas in north-central Europe. The vast natural areas are mainly taken care of by nature itself and wildlife has begun to thrive in more natural densities. The region stretches over more than 250,000 hectares, of which nearly 70,000 hectares are the open waters of the lagoon. The Oder Delta is an important stop-over site for migrating water birds using the East Atlantic Flyway. Rewetting of wet pastures in Germany and the abandonment of peat-cutting in Poland has allowed a dramatic comeback of wildlife, most spectacularly for white-tailed eagles that now have the highest breeding density in Europe as well as common crane, otter, beaver, salmon, sea-trout and many other species.

Poland Oder Delta: Wildlife Photography Tour

The accommodations and our base camp will be at Oder Delta Safari – located in Stepnica / Poland.Accommodations will be provided in two rural houses in the Oder Delta. One is the base camp of Oder Delta safari and the other one is a house nearby. The accommodations are equipped with all comforts (heating system, hot water, kitchen, private bathrooms) and they are located few kilometers away from the port and also the main natural attractions.

Gianmarco was born in Italy. He was thrilled by photography&nbsp;very early in his life thanks to his dad and uncle who were developing pictures at home in the dark room. The passion for photography and the need to freeze the moment progressively grew and it led him to take studio photography classes in Rome at Officine Fotografiche Roma. However, the studio was not really his environment and he soon directed his attention to Sport Photography and then found his dimension with Nature and Landscape photography where he creatively reapplies what he learnt about light. He loves to travel the world to hunt nature and wildlife in its purest form.

There are probably only a few countries on earth that exude such a magical attraction and provide as many photo opportunities as this natural and culturally rich Hindu state. As a special treat, we will be in Kathmandu when the world’s most colorful cultural spectacle takes place – the Holi Festival.

A truly mystical country Nepal offers rich diversity in culture, nature, religion and architecture, and thus countless breathtaking photo opportunities. The capital, Kathmandu, is an El Dorado for street, reportage, portrait and architectural photography. And the surrounding area has its own lures, with wild monkeys, awe-inspiring mountain panoramas, remote monasteries and villages that seem to be apart from time. Our travel date offers a very special highlight – we will be there for the spectacular Holi Festival! On top of all this comes the world-famous hospitality of the Nepalese, who like to present themselves as a little camera-shy. You will have the opportunity to explore the country off the tourist track and to come home with memories and pictures you'll cherish for life. The trip will be led by photo instructor and filmmaker Daniel von Rüdiger and his longtime Nepalese colleague and local guide Sunil Pokera. With this team, you'll have an unbeatable combination of professional photography expertise and unique local insights and know-how about the country and people. On this trip, you'll receive some theoretical instruction, but more importantly, you'll have plenty of room to experiment and practice under the guidance of an expert. Daniel von Rüdiger (Ph.D.) is a photographer, filmmaker, and musician. He studied Visual Communication, Communication Strategies and Iconic Research in Munich, Augsburg and Basel. He got his Ph.D. from the University of Art Linz for his investigation on the connection of rhythm in work, film and music. In his artistic research, he generates theoretic findings through artistic practice. Daniel von Rüdiger uses photography as a tool for artistic expression as well as for documentation. He works as a social documentary photographer and filmmaker for nonprofit organizations in Nepal and Papua New Guinea. His photographs of the daily life of indigenous people have been exhibited amongst others in the Gropius Bau Berlin, Rietberg Museum Zurich and the Queensland Art Gallery in Brisbane. As a photo-artist, he is represented by the German-based gallery Pablo &amp; Paul.&nbsp;&nbsp;Daniel von Rüdiger uses his DSLR not just to take photos but also for filming. For the Museum of Culture in Basel, he made the award-winning documentary Kanu belong Keram. As a musician, he is also in charge of the soundtracks of his films. He forms together with the guitarist Carl the duo 0101 ( <a href="http://www.0101.wtf" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" style="background-color: transparent; color: rgb(5, 99, 193);">www.0101.wtf</a> ) who produces film scores.&nbsp; Daniel von Rüdiger can look back on more than ten years of teaching in academia. The last years he was lecturer for photography at the Academy of Art and Design, Basel. Besides, he is getting booked as a keynote speaker to spread his knowledge on rhythm and his experiences about Papua New Guinea.

In the borough of Queens alone, you will hear no less than 138 languages spoken of the estimated 800 heard throughout the city. 5th Avenue juxtaposes giant flagship stores for the world’s most luxury brands with beggars and supermodels. It is an ever-shifting canvas of diverse faces, commerce, culture, fashion, design. Millions of people pass through it daily, their behavior often clamoring to stand out from the crowds. Often they seem to be divided into natives too busy to do more than glance at even the most absurd spectacles, and the tourists exhausted by it.

Actually, my professional career was predestined: Studies of architecture at the University of fine arts in Berlin, then years of experience in this field in Switzerland. Turning my secondary job – the photography – into the main occupation was due to the satisfaction following this passion. Studying photography in Zürich made way for a professional career as a photographer. Even if architecture is the main subject in his pictures, other genres always provide a wonderful balance, keep the mind awake and the photographic eye open.

Dunes offer a kaleidoscope of shifting color and texture and the architectural splendor of the region’s most famous Kasbah –-Ait Benhaddou, dating back to at least the 13th century is undiminished and it still houses many families within its mud-brick walls. Overwhelm your senses in our photography tour of Morocco: colorful cities, breathtaking sand dunes, and warm hospitality.

Darren began taking photographs in the early 1980’s and printing in a makeshift darkroom at home. He went onto study photography, firstly on an art and design foundation course, before graduating with a degree in Photographic Studies in 1992 and an MSc in Film Production in 1994.&nbsp;Photographing both landscape and portraiture using digital and large format film, his images are characterised by a high level of compositional and technical accomplishment.&nbsp;&nbsp;Based in Morocco, Darren explores the region for project related work. Darren first visited Morocco in 1991 to make a student film and take photographs in the Anti-Atlas Mountains. He returned in 1993 again for a student project, this time to Essaouira.&nbsp;During the 1990’s he made several visits to the town, making a documentary on an Englishwoman’s adventure with Gnawa music.&nbsp; Darren is also qualified lecturer with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and has several years experience planning and delivering courses in the UK.&nbsp;&nbsp;He is a passionate photographic educator, collaborating with Swiss Photo Club since 2022.&nbsp;

We are extremely excited to add this epic destination to our itinerary! Experience Mongolia's nomadic culture, meet eagle hunters, and take incredible photos of the vast, untouched landscapes of Altai mountains and Gobi Desert of Mongolia with Swiss Photo Club.

The Gobi Desert (Gobi meaning ‘waterless place’) is a vast, arid region and stretches across northern China and southern Mongolia. You probably know if for its sand dunes and camels. It’s even said that the the Khongoryn Els sand dunes in the Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park sing when the wind blows. The Flaming Cliffs are another famous site, where dinosaur fossils have been found. The breathtaking Altai Mountains form a huge part of the stunning scenery of the Western part of the country and play a key role in the second half of the tour. This is the land that nomadic families have called home for thousands of years up to today. Eagle Hunting (´berkutchi´) has played a significant role in day to day life and is still a key element in the national culture. We will stay with these families and join them in the hills and creeks to create stunning photos of this spectacular tradition. Altai Tavan Bogd National Park is located on the Western most point of Mongolia in Bayan-Ulgii Province. This vast, mountainous park borders China and Russia with views of Kazakhstan from the highest peak in Mongolia. Road trip adventureMongolia is a huge country. This means that there will be long periods spent in our vehicles getting from one location to the next. Roads are mostly unpaved, where there are roads at all. This is really a big part of the adventure. With our vehicles, we’re able to drive through the mountains and cross rivers. It will be an experience unlike anything. We’ll be far away from the civilized world, driving through scenery that constantly changes. There will be plenty of photo opportunities along the way. Due to the rough terrain, it may happen that we experience a vehicle breakdown. Our experienced drivers are usually able to fix this quickly--but you can take advantage by walking around and shooting more photos.

Mongolia Photo Tour: An adventure with the experts

We’ll stay in a nice hotel in UlaanBaatar. In Olgii, we stay in bit more basic hotel, but still the best in town. The hotel in Olgii has private shower in each room, electricity, wifi, and a private toilet. During the Gobi desert part of our trip, we will stay in heated Ger tents, sleeping in beds. Women sleep in one Ger, men in the other Ger. There is electricity in every tent in Gobi, and in there is a kitchen in the Flaming Cliffs area. Facilities are camp-style, outside in a sheltered normal toilet. Some camps have modern toilet facilities outside, some have a basic hole in the ground with shelter around. Dining happens in a separate Ger tent. There is no WiFi for the Gobi part of the trip, but slow cellular internet connection is partially available. There’s a possibility to buy a local SIM card fairly inexpensively prior to the start of the trip. There are no hotels in Gobi, only nice Ger camps . This experience might be a bit out of your comfort zone, but the amazing unspoiled nature around will definitely make up for it! Please note that we will bring an amazing cook for this trip. Even vegetarian options are available. It’s hard to get veggies in Mongolia, but you can be sure that we will take care of good food during this trip. For example, for breakfast we may have eggs, toast with nutella, sausages, juice, coffee etc. For lunch and dinner, we may have salads, nice soup and meat/pasta/rice.
